L&E Research Paid Surveys ReviewL&E Research is a market field service that was founded in 1984. Today it is the largest field service in Eastern North Carolina and the second largest in the state. Its specialty is focus group research – a type of qualitative research that allows industry to talk to small groups of consumers to measure their opinions. In 2004 over 800 focus groups were conducted by L&E. Headquartered in Northeast Raleigh, L&E has two rooms specially designed for focus group research, with four rooms coming at our new location February 7, 2004.

Focus group research is a popular form of qualitative market research used by manufacturers, service providers, political parties, ad agencies, charitable organizations, attorneys, and most other industries to gather consumer input on wide varieties of projects. In all instances, these industries use this information to help them provide better products and services to the consuming public.

Focus groups usually consist of 8-12 people who are pre-screened to a set of specifications given to L&E Research by the company who is conducting the research. These screens usually consist of age, income, and gender specifications, as well as other screens to the product or service about which the researcher is seeking consumer’s advice.

The focus group session is most often held at the office of L&E Research and usually lasts between 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours. Participants are always paid for their time and opinions, typically $60 for 2 hours of time but many times more than this. At no time will anyone attempt to sell you anything, nor is anyone’s name placed on any list. This is pure market research.

Accepts panelists from U.S. only.
