The history of Complete Research Connections starts with Chelle Precht.  In 1985 she began her market research career holding several positions within the industry.  Then, in 2005, she and her husband Art opened their own market research facility and called it Complete Research Connections.

The idea was to offer just that to their clients, a complete research package that would ensure they had all the information needed to execute their plan without a hitch.

They are located at 2323 W. 5^th Avenue, Suite 1:50, Columbus, OH 43204.

What They Do

While they do offer some online surveys, the main service offering revolves around on-site panels and focus groups.  These may include viewing ads, trying products, or simply participating in discussions geared toward the topic in question.

While they note that they do business nationwide, they do not make it clear whether or not they accept or use virtual panelists from other states or other countries.  I signed up just in case.

While this wasn’t really difficult, it was more time consuming than is my experience with other sites.  Some of the questions were not required, and since it was taking so long, I ended up skipping a lot.  I do not recommend this.  Those questions help them choose campaigns that are a good fit for you.  The more information you have, the more likely you are to be chosen for a survey or focus group.

When I was finished, I was given a message that they would be in touch soon.  Unlike other survey sites, there is no website with a list of surveys to choose from.

Complete Research Connections Reputation

They are members of the American Marketing Association, Insights Association, and the QRCA.  In addition, they hold an A+ rating with the BBB.  They have been in business 13 years, have no complaints, and only one review.  That one review isn’t good, but it is from a couple of years ago and was successfully resolved.

What Else Do You Need to Know?

There are a few sites out there with similar names, and it is easy to pull up each of them with various search terms.  Research Connections, without the “complete,” is not a paid survey site.  Rather, it is a group dedicated to education and education research, and they do offer research connection grants for various things.

There is also a research connections out of Australia that offers paid surveys, but they operate in Australia.  Complete Research Connections, the company about this review is written,  operates out of Ohio and does not offer grants. They have some online paid surveys, but they do not specifically have paid surveys on their site for just anyone to answer.

Is Complete Research Connections Legit or a Scam?

They are for sure legit.  You do not get to have the memberships and accreditations they have, not to mention an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, if you are a scam.  I do not see that there is a lot of money-making opportunity here, however.

You may get chosen for a project that pays well occasionally, but this is not a place to sit and make a regular income taking surveys.
